Most LaTeX Editors make using BibTeX even easier than it already is. In case you want to process myarticle.tex on the command line just do this:
$ latex tex_file_name_without_extension $ bibtex tex_file_name_without_extension $ latex tex_file_name_without_extension $ latex tex_file_name_without_extension
