Precognition: knowing things to happen before they actually do
Sally's dream experiment: asked subject to dream of picture randomly that will be shown to him the next day. The subject participated in the experiment 8 days.
Random chance or probability for the subject to correctly predicting the picture for 8 days would be 1/8
Experimentally, the subject was found to be correctly predicting the picture with a probability 6/8
Two topics in quantum physics question our present understanding of time, subsequently they might be in support the precognition. They are as follows:
Quantum entanglement: two particles that are separated by a vast distance reacting to an event simultaneously
Quantum retrocausality: a reversing of cause and effect, ie, future events (which we know as effect) are causing us to do certain things in certain way -- our present action. Reverse loop from future affect to present action.
Causality: present action ----> future effect
Retrocausality: present action <----- future effect
Precognition might be a form of mental time travel
